"Unbounded" is a conceptual exhibition identity and mock collection designed for a Smithsonian Museum context. For this project, I was tasked with creating an original collection and developing a full suite of marketing materials, including a poster, social media assets, a brochure, and a webpage mockup. All imagery and written content were created by me, allowing for complete creative control from concept to execution.
I chose to center the exhibition around the theme of circularity—exploring repetition, continuity, and movement through visual form. The title Unbounded reflects the idea of cycles without clear beginnings or endings, while the tagline, “Where art meets circularity,” reinforces the conceptual focus of the collection.
My design decisions were guided by the imagery I photographed for the exhibition. I developed a color palette directly from these images, drawing inspiration from their textures and tones while leaning into a subtle 1970s vintage aesthetic. This approach helped create a cohesive visual system that feels both nostalgic and contemporary, allowing the exhibition identity to extend naturally across all marketing materials.
This project strengthened my experience in exhibition branding, visual storytelling, and building a unified design system across multiple platforms while maintaining a strong conceptual foundation.
